Mechanical Structure
The robot is built by high-strength laser-cut Lexan structural construal components and heavy-duty structural brackets. Classic 4WD differential drive system is used to drive the robot¡¯s motion. 4X 12.0vdc 30:1 gear head motors and the 4.75" tires and wheels are included.
Heavy duty polypropylene and rubber tracks with durable ABS molded sprockets offer the robot an excellent traction. Two 12vdc 50:1 gear head motors and the Sabertooth 2 x 5 motor controllers are also included.
Control Systems
The robot comes with two optional remote control operations. One uses a Hitec 6 channel RC radio for full control of the vehicle and an optional gripper. The other uses our Bot Board, Basic Atom and a Mad Catz wireless game controller for control of the vehicle, optional arm, optional pan and tilt, and more. This versatile robot can also add a microcontroller and sensors.
